A fantastic opportunity for a Third Line Technical Support role has become available for an IT Managed Services Provider based in Cheltenham as a result of company growth. The successful candidate will have a strong background in all areas of 3rd Line Support from the design and specification stage through to configuration.
The role:
- Act as a key member of the engineering team by being the point of escalation for 1st and 2nd line engineers
- Assisting Service Delivery teams with any technical issues
- Provide tier 3 troubleshooting on switches, routers, firewalls and network management systems
- Carry out investigations on network infrastructure
- Ensure core infrastructure is supported and actively put forward recommendations for improvements
- Lead IT projects as required and carry out all necessary checks including project documentation prior to completion
- Resolving 3rd line calls to identify the root cause of incidents
Experience
- Extensive experience working within an IT managed service provider
- Experience working on networks at enterprise level
- Knowledge and proven experience around switch configuration, firewall policies, OSPF
- Ability to engage regularly with C Level stakeholders
- Capable of running and completing complex projects
- Flexible and adaptable to work autonomously as well as within a team
